Job Requirements

  • Must be able to satisfactorily communicate verbally to receive instructions and communicate with guests
  • Must be able to understand and follow directions when handling cleaning solutions and chemicals
  • Must be able to handle the mental and physical demand requirements
  • Ability to push/pull a housekeeping cart weighing approximately 300lbs
  • Ability to continuously kneel, bend, stoop, and reach above shoulder level
  • Ability to lift approximately 15 to 20 lbs of linen
  • Must be available to work shifts primarily from 8am to 4pm and flexible with days off
  • Must be able to work over 40 hours in a week if required

Job Qualifications

  • Must be able to communicate verbally to receive instructions and interact with guests
  • Able to understand and follow directions for handling cleaning solutions and chemicals
  • Capability to meet mental and physical demands of the job
  • Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
  • Basic reading and comprehension skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrate reliability and attention to detail

Job Duties

  • Perform routine cleaning and servicing of guest rooms, Clean bathtubs, toilets, sinks, mirrors, and floors using authorized cleaning agents, Strip and make beds and change linens, Vacuum entire room including entry areas, Empty trash and dust all furniture and surfaces, Replenish amenities, linens, and supplies, Manage hotel-issued keys responsibly, Maintain cleanliness of assigned landing areas, Keep equipment and carts organized and well-stocked, Report maintenance issues and any suspicious activity to security, Follow safety procedures and policies, Greet and assist guests as needed, Properly handle lost and found items, Assist in stocking supply closets and report shortages, Respond to guest inquiries and deliver requested items
