Job Requirements

  • Must be able to satisfactorily communicate verbally to receive instructions and communicate with guests
  • Must be able to understand and follow directions when handling cleaning solutions and chemicals
  • Must be able to handle the mental and physical demand requirements
  • Ability to push and pull a fully supplied housekeeping cart weighing approximately 300 pounds
  • Ability to continuously kneel, bend, stoop, and reach above shoulder level
  • Able to lift approximately 15 to 20 pounds of linen

Job Qualifications

  • Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate verbally in English
  • Knowledge of cleaning agents and safety procedures
  • Ability to read and follow instructions
  • Good interpersonal skills to interact with guests and team members
  • Physical ability to perform demanding tasks such as lifting and bending

Job Duties

  • Clean bathtubs, toilets, sinks, mirrors, and floors using authorized cleaning agents
  • Strip and make beds and change linens
  • Push and pull vacuum cleaner throughout rooms
  • Empty trash receptacles
  • Dust furniture and window ledges thoroughly
  • Replenish amenities, linens, and supplies in guest rooms
  • Control hotel-issued keys at all times
  • Keep assigned landing areas and equipment clean and organized
  • Restock housekeeping carts prior to shifts
  • Report maintenance and security issues
  • Follow safety procedures and policies
  • Greet guests and provide assistance
  • Handle lost and found items properly
  • Assist in stocking supply closets
  • Deliver items to guest rooms
  • Respond to guest inquiries and provide information
