Job Requirements

  • Current FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot certificate
  • understanding and application of FAA regulations and aviation policy and safety protocols
  • ability to interpret flight monitoring systems or similar technical platforms
  • knowledge of weather patterns and their impact on flight operations
  • ability to carry or lift up to 50 lbs
  • ability to stand or walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours
  • ability to frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach
  • ability to work any shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • willingness to travel up to 25 percent of the time
  • compliance with export control license requirements
  • ability to pass Department of Transportation drug and alcohol testing if conducting safety sensitive functions as defined by the FAA

Job Qualifications

  • Current FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot certificate
  • understanding and application of FAA regulations and aviation policy and safety protocols
  • ability to interpret flight monitoring systems or similar technical platforms
  • knowledge of weather patterns and their impact on flight operations
  • prior experience in aviation, drone operations, or a similar real-time monitoring role
  • experience with technical or engineering record keeping methods and tools
  • excellent decision-making capabilities under pressure
  • familiarity with risk assessment and mitigation
  • ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Continuously monitor the status of all active drone flights within the assigned region, utilizing our state-of-the-art monitoring systems
  • identify and respond to any deviations from planned flight paths or operational parameters
  • ensure all drone flights comply with regulatory requirements and company safety policies
  • coordinate effectively with the relevant teams to implement immediate response strategies to mitigate risks and resolve situations
  • prepare and submit detailed reports on flight activities, incidents, and anomalies
  • provide feedback and insights to support continuous operational improvement
  • adhere to FAA regulations and Prime Air directives and processes
