Job Requirements
- Current FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot certificate
- understanding and application of FAA regulations and aviation policy and safety protocols
- ability to interpret flight monitoring systems or similar technical platforms
- knowledge of weather patterns and their impact on flight operations
- ability to carry or lift up to 50 lbs
- stand or walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours
- frequent pushing pulling squatting bending and reaching
- ability to work any shift including nights weekends and holidays
- availability for travel up to 25% of the time
- compliance with export control license requirements for the position
- subject to DOT drug and alcohol testing if conducting safety sensitive functions
Job Qualifications
- Current FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot certificate
- understanding and application of FAA regulations and aviation policy and safety protocols
- ability to interpret flight monitoring systems or similar technical platforms
- knowledge of weather patterns and their impact on flight operations
- prior experience in aviation drone operations or a similar real-time monitoring role preferred
- experience with technical or engineering record keeping methods and tools preferred
- excellent decision-making capabilities under pressure preferred
- familiarity with risk assessment and mitigation preferred
- ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment preferred
Job Duties
- Continuously monitor the status of all active drone flights within the assigned region utilizing state-of-the-art monitoring systems
- identify and respond to any deviations from planned flight paths or operational parameters
- ensure all drone flights comply with regulatory requirements and company safety policies
- coordinate effectively with relevant teams to implement immediate response strategies to mitigate risks and resolve situations
- prepare and submit detailed reports on flight activities incidents and anomalies
- provide feedback and insights to support continuous operational improvement
- utilize excellent analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills while maintaining a high attention to detail
- demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills while working effectively in a high-pressure environment
- adhere to FAA regulations and Prime Air directives and processes
