The Clerk position at Price Rite is a part-time opportunity designed for individuals who are eager to contribute to an excellent in-store shopping experience. Under the supervision of multiple store leaders, such as Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager, Produce Manager, Meat Supervisor, and Front End Managers, this role involves a variety of tasks essential to the smooth operation of the store. Clerks are trusted with maintaining a clean and organized work environment, ensuring products are priced correctly, stocked adequately, and rotated properly to preserve freshness and quality. They provide courteous and efficient checkout service, handling transactions accurately and responsibly. Additionally, clerks engage with customers, offering assistance and fostering a welcoming atmosphere.

Clerks gain exposure to multiple departments and receive cross-training, encouraging versatility and potential long-term career advancement within the company.
Physical responsibilities include standing or walking for the entire shift, lifting up to 25 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 75 pounds, and operating specialized equipment such as slicers, case cutters, balers, and power jacks. A positive, cooperative attitude and adherence to safety and hygiene standards are crucial. This position requires candidates to be at least 18 years old, especially due to the operation of certain heavy equipment.
