Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older to operate balers, hi-los, power jacks and slicing machines
- Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret and understand the English language
- Ability to perform basic math skills
- Ability to make change with all denominations of American currency
- Ability to stand, walk for the duration of a scheduled shift
- Ability to adhere to all local, state and federal health and civil code regulations
- Ability to operate equipment like case cutter and U-Boats
- Ability to regularly lift 25 lbs and occasionally lift 75 lbs
- Must maintain a neat, well-groomed appearance according to company dress code
- Ability to work cooperatively with others
- Ability to tolerate dust and cleaning agents
- Ability to work in varying temperatures

Job Duties
- Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment
- Maintain all department sanitation and quality assurance standards including cleaning and sanitizing work surfaces, utensils and equipment
- Check products received against invoices
- Use a slicing machine and related equipment where applicable
- Prepare and replenish product for sale in any department where applicable
- Always operate equipment with safeguards in place and observe safe methods of performing duties
- Comply with all store rules, company policies, safety requirements and local, state and federal health and civil code regulations
- Dress according to company policy including white shirt, black pants, apron and name badge
- Comply with hand washing standards and use disposable gloves when handling unpackaged foods
- Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service and assistance
- Follow approved procedures for receiving, code dating, preparing, storing, price marking, scaling and restocking products
- Adhere to federal, state and local regulations
- Keep displays and display cases stocked and properly faced
- Control freshness, quality and temperature of product by following safe food handling procedures
- Understand operation of cash register and handle cash according to procedures
- Process payments accurately and provide proper change
- Handle damaged or return-to-stock products according to company policy
- Adhere to HAZCOM program and use chemicals safely
- Check refrigeration equipment regularly and report failures
- Remove trash and cardboard and operate baler
- Complete price changes as directed
- Utilize and maintain equipment and report problems
- Complete department training programs
- Retrieve carts from the parking lot
- Perform other duties as required
