Job Requirements
- Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand English
- ability to perform basic math skills
- ability to make change with all denominations of American currency
- ability to stand and walk for the duration of a shift
- ability to adhere to all health and civil code regulations
- ability to operate department equipment such as case cutters and U-Boats
- ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 25 lbs and occasionally 75 lbs
- ability to provide superior customer service
- maintain a neat, well-groomed appearance
- ability to work with fresh, dried and processed products without allergic consequences
- ability to tolerate dust and cleaning agents
- ability to work in varying temperatures
- ability to work cooperatively

- must be 18 years or older to operate balers, hi-los, power jacks and slicing machines
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment
- maintain all department sanitation and quality assurance standards including cleaning and sanitizing work surfaces, utensils and equipment
- check products received against invoices
- use slicing machine and related equipment where applicable
- prepare and replenish products for sale in any department
- operate equipment with safety safeguards in place
- comply with store rules, company policies, safety requirements, security standards and all local, state and federal regulations
- dress according to company policy including white shirt, black pants, apron and name badge
- comply with hand washing standards and use disposable gloves when handling unpackaged foods
- greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service
- follow procedures for receiving, code dating, preparing, storing, price marking, scaling and restocking products
- keep displays and display cases stocked and properly faced
- control product freshness, quality and temperature by following safe handling procedures
- understand cash register operation and follow all cash handling procedures
- accurately scan products, process payments and provide correct change
- handle damaged or return-to-stock products according to policy
- be knowledgeable of HAZCOM program and follow chemical safety instructions
- regularly check refrigeration equipment and report failures
- remove trash and cardboard and operate baler
- complete price changes as directed
- utilize and maintain equipment as required and report issues
- complete all applicable department training programs
- retrieve carts from parking lot
- perform other duties as required
