Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- ability to stand and walk for the duration of scheduled shift
- ability to bend, twist, reach, push, pull and lift 25 to 75 pounds
- ability to adhere to local, state and federal health and civil code regulations
- ability to operate department equipment as required
- ability to meet work schedules and comply with time and attendance policies
- ability to safely handle chemicals according to HAZCOM guidelines
- availability for flexible part-time hours including days, evenings and weekends
- ability to complete required training within first 30 days
- commitment to cash control and cash handling policies
- ability to maintain company dress code
Job Qualifications
- Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret and understand English

- ability to make change with all denominations of American currency
- ability to operate department equipment such as slicers and scales

Job Duties
- Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment
- maintain all department sanitation and QA standards including cleaning and sanitizing work surfaces, utensils and equipment
- check products against invoices
- use slicing machines and related equipment where applicable
- prepare and replenish product for sale in departments
- operate equipment safely and maintain safeguards
- comply with store rules, company policies, safety, security, and health regulations
- dress according to company policy
- comply with QA hand washing standards and use disposable gloves when handling unpackaged foods
- greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service
- follow approved procedures for receiving, code dating, preparing, storing, price marking, scaling, and restocking products
- adhere to all relevant regulations
- keep displays and cases stocked and faced
- be knowledgeable about produce, meat, deli, and seafood products
- control freshness, quality and temperature by following safe food handling
- operate cash register and follow cash handling procedures
- accurately scan products and process payments
- handle damaged or return-to-stock products properly
- follow company HAZCOM program and safely use chemical products
- check refrigeration equipment and report failures
- remove trash and operate baler
- complete price changes as directed
- maintain equipment and report problems
- complete all department training
- comply with Price Rite service priorities of clean, fresh and friendly
- retrieve carts from lot
- perform other duties as required
