Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 12+ years of relative professional experience
  • 7+ years in a managerial role
  • 8+ years operational experience with major or regional air carrier or ground handler
  • Financial acumen

  • Strong leadership skills including solid communication, visionary mindset, and ability to motivate and lead others

Job Duties

  • Support overall success of passenger assistance, cabin cleaning, and fueling teams at airport locations while delivering United's flyer friendly service
  • Adhere to all safety, quality, and compliance standards established by UGE, United Airlines, and regulatory authorities
  • Oversee station operational safety and security, performance standards and goals, vendor relations, contracts, and government and regulatory interface
  • Serve as liaison for government and regulatory interface
  • Lead contract negotiations with IAM
  • Develop and maintain relationships with union leaders
  • Provide direction on grievances, investigations, and discipline based on service level agreements
  • Provide strategic direction to finance team for financial strategies, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Support finance leadership through detailed financial analysis to inform strategic decisions and labor negotiations
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and corporate governance
  • Oversee procurement of contracts and awards
  • Ensure equitable and compliant HR and talent management practices
  • Manage HR policies, performance management, employee relations, recognition programs, ethics and compliance, and affirmative action plans
  • Oversee compensation, benefits, recruiting, talent strategies, leadership development, and employee engagement
