Job Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
  • six months of experience teaching preschool-aged children
  • bilingual Spanish/English preferred
  • experience with culturally diverse and low-income families preferred
  • proficiency with early childhood assessment tools preferred
  • basic keyboard and computer software skills
  • adherence to state and federal early childhood education regulations
  • ability to actively supervise children at all times

Job Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
  • Bachelor's degree in Child Development or Early Childhood Education preferred
  • six months of experience teaching preschool-aged children
  • bilingual Spanish/English preferred
  • knowledge of Ages & Stages Questionnaire (ASQ), Program for Infant Toddler Caregivers (PITC), Center on Social & Emotional Foundations for Early Learning (CSEFEL), Pyramid Model, Infant Toddler Environment Rating Scales (ITERS), and Toddler Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS) preferred
  • experience working with culturally diverse and low-income families preferred
  • basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and web-based systems

Job Duties

  • Prepare children and families for school readiness and life success
  • provide high-quality, developmentally appropriate care and education to children aged 3-5
  • collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support child development
  • comply with all state and federal regulations regarding early childhood education
  • actively supervise children by sight and sound at all times
  • maintain health and safety regulations in classroom and other environments
  • facilitate health practices to ensure child safety during transportation and outdoor activities
