Job Requirements

  • minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of professional food service experience
  • City of Columbus SafeServe certification
  • ability to lift up to 30 lbs
  • ability to stand for extended periods and move as required by kitchen operations

Job Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of professional food service experience, childcare or institutional settings preferred
  • City of Columbus SafeServe certification required
  • proven ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen
  • excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • preferred associate's degree in culinary arts or related field

Job Duties

  • Prepare balanced, appealing meals and snacks that meet dietary and nutrition standards
  • follow safe food handling and storage practices at all times
  • maintain daily menu and inventory records in compliance with CCFP guidelines
  • coordinate food purchasing, menu planning, and kitchen organization
  • collaborate with staff to accommodate special dietary needs and menu adjustments
