Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Demonstrated experience in licensed childcare facility kitchen or equivalent
  • Compliance with state guidelines and regulations
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds safely
  • Capability to work in temperatures ranging from 20 degrees Fahrenheit to 95 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Valid food service/handler's permit or license
  • Willingness to follow immunization and training requirements

Job Qualifications

  • Must meet state-specific educational guidelines
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Relevant experience in childcare or commercial kitchens
  • Valid food service or handler's permit as required by state regulations
  • Knowledge of state nutritional requirements for children
  • Ability to follow health and safety protocols
  • Strong communication and caregiving skills

Job Duties

  • Plan, post, and follow approved nutritious menus
  • Prepare and serve food safely in appropriate portions
  • Maintain accurate inventory and place food orders within budget
  • Ensure safe storage of food, supplies, and equipment
  • Follow all health, hygiene, and safety procedures
  • Wash and sanitize dishes, cookware, and kitchen appliances
  • Collaborate with team members and provide outstanding customer service
