Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Demonstrated experience in licensed childcare facility kitchen or equivalent
- Compliance with state guidelines and regulations
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds safely
- Capability to work in temperatures ranging from 20 degrees Fahrenheit to 95 degrees Fahrenheit
- Valid food service/handler's permit or license
- Willingness to follow immunization and training requirements
Job Qualifications
- Must meet state-specific educational guidelines
- High school diploma or GED required
- Relevant experience in childcare or commercial kitchens
- Valid food service or handler's permit as required by state regulations
- Knowledge of state nutritional requirements for children
- Ability to follow health and safety protocols
- Strong communication and caregiving skills
Job Duties
- Plan, post, and follow approved nutritious menus
- Prepare and serve food safely in appropriate portions
- Maintain accurate inventory and place food orders within budget
- Ensure safe storage of food, supplies, and equipment
- Follow all health, hygiene, and safety procedures
- Wash and sanitize dishes, cookware, and kitchen appliances
- Collaborate with team members and provide outstanding customer service
