Job Requirements
- Work experience in cooking and/or food preparation for multiple individuals in a childcare facility preferred
- Willingness to learn and adhere to state and local regulations
- Flexibility regarding work hours and schedule
Job Qualifications
- Work experience in cooking and food preparation in a childcare setting preferred
- Knowledge of nutritional requirements for children
- Ability to adapt to menu changes and schedules
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to assist in classroom duties if needed
Job Duties
- Create home-style, nutritional meal plans following school menu and budget
- Prepare meals and snacks for children and staff
- Distribute food to classrooms in a timely manner
- Follow USDA, licensing, and health department regulations
- Maintain inventory of food and supplies and order as needed
- Assist in classrooms as an Assistant Teacher or Floater when required
