Job Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen years old
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, preferably in a prep or pantry role
  • Valid Food Handlers Certification
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Willingness to work late nights and unpredictable hours
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Ability to follow recipes accurately
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
  • Ability to learn cash register software
  • Ability to work in a hot and noisy kitchen environment

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to follow recipes accurately and work with minimal supervision
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Valid Food Handlers Certification
  • Ability to learn POS software such as Aloha, Hot Schedule, and Paylocity

Job Duties

  • Assist in the preparation of food items by measuring and weighing ingredients, cutting and chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and following recipes and portion guidelines
  • Maintain an organized and well-stocked pantry by receiving and inspecting deliveries, rotating stock, properly storing ingredients, and notifying personnel when supplies need replenishing
  • Ensure all necessary equipment, utensils, and supplies are set up and ready for use by line cooks and chefs
  • Regularly clean and sanitize workstations, equipment, and utensils while following food safety guidelines
  • Assist in monitoring inventory levels, report shortages to Head Chef or Kitchen Manager, and help conduct regular stock counts
  • Work closely with kitchen team to ensure smooth operations and efficient communication, assisting in timing coordination with other stations
  • Maintain high-quality food standards by following recipes, portion control, and plating guidelines
  • Comply with all health and safety regulations, company policies, and procedures
  • Be flexible and willing to assist in various kitchen duties including line cooking during busy periods or filling in for absent staff
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
