Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to operate forklifts and company vehicles
  • Physical ability to lift up to 32 kg unaided
  • Capacity to stand or sit for prolonged periods
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and independently
  • Compliance with company safety and operational regulations
  • Eligibility to work in the United States
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to operate company vehicles and equipment
  • Ability to lift weights up to 32 kg (70 lbs) unaided
  • Capacity to stand or sit for long periods
  • Tact, good judgment and strong initiative
  • Clear and courteous communication skills
  • Ability to work independently under pressure
  • Proficiency with automated freight and accounting systems after training
  • Compliance with Air Canada uniform standards
  • Ability to meet Air Canada medical standards through examination
  • Adherence to US Customs and Border Protection requirements including customs seals and airport passes
  • Reliability and punctuality to support team success in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Manage freight operations including building and breaking down pallets and ULDs
  • Load and unload trucks and store freight and COMAT in designated areas with proper documentation
  • Operate company equipment such as forklifts and vehicles safely and efficiently to move freight, mail, and COMAT
  • Handle shipments including hazardous and restricted materials in accordance with company and governmental regulations
  • Provide customer service by responding to inquiries from the public, airline carriers, external agencies, and internal staff
  • Support operational continuity by making decisions in the absence of leadership, communicating procedure updates, ensuring supply availability and compiling statistical data
  • Investigate and report on damaged or incomplete shipments and complete necessary documentation
