Job Requirements
- Minimum of two years related experience
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation laws and principles
- Ability to work variable shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
- Must obtain a New Mexico Alcohol Server Permit
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Satisfactory completion of pre-employment drug screening, criminal background check, and TSA background check
- Effective communication skills to read, analyze, interpret and convey information
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced, noisy kitchen environment
- High level of personal responsibility and initiative
Job Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of FDA and company food safety standards
- Experience with restaurant and baking supplies, equipment, ordering and inventory control
- Ability to maintain quality control standards
- Skilled in preparing and baking various pastries and baked goods
- Ability to gather data and prepare reports
- Knowledge of maintenance and care of kitchen facilities and equipment
- Knowledge of food preparation, presentation methods and quality standards
- Detail oriented
- Excellent listening and communication skills
- Team player with effective interpersonal skills
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and remain flexible
- Able to work at a fast pace effectively
Job Duties
- Collaborates with restaurant operations team and upper leadership team
- Must obtain a New Mexico Alcohol Server Permit
- Protects organization's value by keeping company information confidential
- Provides excellent internal and external customer service
- Works flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
- Multitasks and quickly prioritizes tasks
- Prepares ingredients and assembles baked goods according to recipes and specifications
- Shapes dough for cookies, pies and pastries using hand or machines
- Applies glazes, icings or other toppings to baked goods
- Operates large-volume cooking equipment such as ovens, grills, fryers, and slicers
- Reviews production schedules for baking activities
- Cleans, stocks, and restocks workstations and equipment
- Inspects baked goods for quality and makes adjustments
- Assists with other restaurant functions as assigned
