Job Requirements

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- experience in food service or fresh food preparation
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to follow recipes and prepare food items accurately
- strong organizational skills
- ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- effective communication and teamwork skills
- familiarity with digital tools for business operations is a plus
- food handler certification or food safety certification preferred
Job Duties
- Ensure high-quality products are available in the prepared foods area
- ensure shelves are clean, maintain temperature control, verify expiration dates, and dispose of lesser-quality food products
- prepare and serve ready-to-eat food
- maintain sales floor according to company policies by handling claims and returns, zoning area, arranging and organizing merchandise, and identifying shrink and damages
- maintain a clean, sanitized, and member-ready area
- maintain up-to-date knowledge of product specifications related to prepared food merchandise
- collaborate with cross-functional teams and educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources
- communicate effectively with team members and be flexible to work in other areas
- prepare food according to item specifications
- understand and plan future and mass productions
- adhere to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, and inventory management
- operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment
- leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement
- manage performance of area by stocking and rotating merchandise, ensuring quality and date control standards, eliminating waste, guiding peers, and assisting customers according to company policies
- act as an advocate for the department by valuing member experience, executing high-quality service and products, and exhibiting energy, commitment, and passion
- comply with company policies, ethics, and integrity standards
- collaborate with managers, co-workers, customers, and business partners
- identify priorities and deadlines
- communicate progress and recommend improvement opportunities
