Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 24+ months retail experience including 12+ months team leadership experience
- commitment to completing food safety certification within 6 months if not already certified
- ability to lift 50 pounds
- ability to stand and walk 6-8 hours per day
- capacity for physical motions including bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching
- ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to use tools and equipment such as knives, box cutters, and electric pallet jacks
- willingness to work in varying temperatures and wet/dry conditions
- ability to work in compliance with FDA approved cleaning chemicals
- ability to use ladders as needed
Job Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of products, buying, pricing, merchandising, and inventory management
- food safety certification or commitment to obtain within 6 months
- excellent interpersonal and team-building skills
- ability to train and motivate others effectively
- strong product knowledge
- knowledge of regulatory and safety policies
- proficiency in math for financial and inventory management
- proven decision-making and leadership skills
- proficiency with email, Microsoft Office, and operational applications
- 24+ months retail experience including 12+ months team leadership experience
Job Duties
- Provides leadership to prepared foods team
- manages daily operations including profitability and expense control
- oversees buying, merchandising, and inventory control
- hires, trains, mentors, and develops team members
- ensures regulatory compliance including food safety
- fosters a positive work environment and teamwork
- monitors and achieves sales, purchasing, and labor goals
- collaborates with department leaders and vendors
- maintains knowledge of competitors and industry trends
- sets and maintains high standards of retail execution
- responds promptly to customer needs and inquiries
