Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 24+ months retail experience including 12+ months team leadership experience
  • commitment to completing food safety certification within 6 months if not already certified
  • ability to lift 50 pounds
  • ability to stand and walk 6-8 hours per day
  • capacity for physical motions including bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to use tools and equipment such as knives, box cutters, and electric pallet jacks
  • willingness to work in varying temperatures and wet/dry conditions
  • ability to work in compliance with FDA approved cleaning chemicals
  • ability to use ladders as needed

Job Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of products, buying, pricing, merchandising, and inventory management
  • food safety certification or commitment to obtain within 6 months
  • excellent interpersonal and team-building skills
  • ability to train and motivate others effectively
  • strong product knowledge
  • knowledge of regulatory and safety policies
  • proficiency in math for financial and inventory management
  • proven decision-making and leadership skills
  • proficiency with email, Microsoft Office, and operational applications
  • 24+ months retail experience including 12+ months team leadership experience

Job Duties

  • Provides leadership to prepared foods team
  • manages daily operations including profitability and expense control
  • oversees buying, merchandising, and inventory control
  • hires, trains, mentors, and develops team members
  • ensures regulatory compliance including food safety
  • fosters a positive work environment and teamwork
  • monitors and achieves sales, purchasing, and labor goals
  • collaborates with department leaders and vendors
  • maintains knowledge of competitors and industry trends
  • sets and maintains high standards of retail execution
  • responds promptly to customer needs and inquiries
