Job Requirements
- Experience cooking for a deli, restaurant, or catering
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for long hours and work closely with team members
- Ability to communicate positively
- Ability to work varied shifts including early mornings and late nights
- Ability to work flexible schedule and cover shifts
- Ability to come to work on time and use a time clock
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Willingness to handle meat and seafood
- Ability to operate and clean an electric meat slicer
- Manual dexterity with equipment

Job Duties
- Prepare dishes following the specifications of the Prepared Foods Assistant Manager and Prepared Foods Manager
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of the cost of preparing daily offerings
- Research and develop new recipes
- Act as a role model and information conduit for deli staff on ingredients and products
- Accurately label and date all dishes with ingredients
- Foodbank all unsellable products according to procedure and record shrink sheets
- Maintain kitchen orderliness per guidelines
- Follow all food safety and storage procedures
- Advise management on equipment repairs, replacements, or upgrades
- Read and initial daily deli communication logs
- Attend and participate in team and storewide meetings
- Perform other tasks assigned by the Prepared Foods Assistant Manager
