Job Requirements
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to stand or walk 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday
- Ability to use hand motions including single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
- Ability to bend, twist, squat and reach
- Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
- Ability to work in temperatures below freezing to above 90 degrees Fahrenheit
- Ability to work in wet and dry conditions
- Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Ability to safely use tools and equipment including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery
- May require use of ladders

Job Duties
- Assist with production for all Prepared Foods venues
- Ensure all prepared foods are properly labeled, dated, initialed, covered, and rotated
- Ensure product meets Whole Foods Market guidelines for quality and preparation
- Document waste and spoilage using appropriate forms
- Ensure product production uses correct measuring devices and follows all recipes
- Help customers understand the difference between Whole Foods Market products and those at conventional stores
- Keep walk-ins and freezers clean and well-organized
- Arrive to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work
- Work all scheduled shifts and attend required trainings and meetings
- Provide excellent customer service, address needs of customers in a timely and effective manner and model suggestive selling techniques
- Answer phones and pages promptly and courteously
- Maximize sales potential through effective and proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product
- Comply with established procedures including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices
- Maintain a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment
- Perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned
- Ensure accuracy of signs and pricing
- Immediately report safety hazards and violations
