Job Requirements
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to stand or walk for 6-8 hours in an 8-hour work day
- Capability to perform bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching motions
- Experience or willingness to use knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must maintain appropriate grooming and punctuality
- Compliance with store Standard Operating Procedures
- Ability to work in both wet and dry conditions
- Comfortable working with FDA approved cleaning chemicals
- No prior retail experience required

Job Duties
- Assist with production for all Prepared Foods venues
- Ensure all prepared foods are properly labeled, dated, initialed, covered, and rotated
- Ensure product meets Whole Foods Market guidelines for quality and preparation
- Document waste and spoilage using appropriate forms
- Ensure product production is performed using correct measuring devices and all recipes are followed
- Help customers understand the difference between Whole Foods Market products and products at conventional stores
- Ensure that walk-ins and freezers are kept clean and well-organized
- Arrive to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work
- Work all scheduled shifts and attend required trainings and meetings
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing needs of customers in a timely and effective manner
- Model suggestive selling techniques
- Answer phones and pages promptly and courteously
- Maximize sales potential through effective and proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product
- Follow and comply with established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices
- Maintain a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment
- Maintain equipment in accordance with Whole Foods Market cleanliness and safety standards
- Perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned
- Ensure accuracy of signs and pricing
- Immediately report safety hazards and violations
