Job Requirements
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- standing or walking 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday
- hand use including single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling
- ability to bend, twist, squat, and reach
- exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
- exposure to temperatures including below freezing, refrigeration, and above 90 degrees Fahrenheit
- ability to work in wet and dry conditions
- flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to use tools and equipment including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and heavy machinery
- may require use of ladders

- strong organizational and time management skills
- excellent interpersonal and team building skills
- capable of teaching others positively and constructively
- thorough product knowledge
- advanced knowledge of regulatory and safety policies
- proficient mathematical skills for financial performance and inventory management
- demonstrated decision-making and leadership abilities
- proficiency with email, Microsoft Office, and operations-related applications
- retail experience of 12 months or more
Job Duties
- Supervises and delegates tasks to Prepared Foods Team Members
- works with Prepared Foods Trainer to train Team Members and minimize turnover
- assists in training new Team Members using learning checklists
- keeps cases and shelves clean, well-stocked and properly rotated
- opens and closes department according to procedures
- ensures all necessary breaks are given
- communicates team concerns to the Team Leader and Associate Team Leader
- sets and achieves high standards of retail execution
- fosters a positive team environment with mutual respect and high morale
- maintains awareness of customer needs and directs Team Members accordingly
- selects, trains, develops, mentors, motivates, and counsels Team Members
- provides timely and thoughtful performance evaluations
- consistently communicates and models Whole Foods Market vision and goals
