Job Requirements

  • 12 plus months retail experience
  • ability to lift 50 pounds
  • able to stand or walk for 6 to 8 hours in an 8-hour workday
  • hand use including grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
  • ability to bend, twist, squat, and reach
  • exposure to approved cleaning chemicals
  • able to work in freezing, refrigerated and hot temperatures
  • ability to work in wet and dry conditions
  • flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • able to use tools and equipment including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and heavy machinery
  • may require use of ladders

Job Duties

  • Supervises and delegates tasks to Prepared Foods team members
  • works with Prepared Foods trainer to train team members and minimize turnover
  • assists in training new team members using checklists and training materials
  • keeps all cases and shelves clean, well-stocked, and properly rotated
  • opens and closes department according to procedures
  • ensures all necessary breaks are given
  • communicates team concerns to team leader and associate team leader
  • sets and achieves high standards of retail execution
  • fosters positive teamwork, mutual respect, and morale
  • maintains awareness of customer needs and directs team members accordingly
  • selects, trains, develops, mentors, motivates, and counsels team members
  • provides performance evaluations
  • consistently communicates and models company vision and goals
