Job Requirements
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- standing and walking 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday
- hand use including grasping, manipulation, pushing, and pulling
- ability to bend, twist, squat, and reach
- exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals
- ability to work in temperatures ranging from below freezing to above 90 degrees Fahrenheit
- capability to work in wet and dry conditions
- flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to use knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery
- may require use of ladders

- Extensive knowledge of Prepared Foods team procedures and policies
- strong organizational and time management skills
- excellent interpersonal, motivational, team building, and customer relationship skills
- capable of teaching others in a positive manner
- product knowledge
- advanced knowledge of regulatory and safety policies and procedures
- proficiency in mathematical skills for financial assessment and inventory management
- demonstrated decision-making and leadership skills
- proficiency with email, Microsoft Office, and operations applications
- minimum 12 months retail experience
Job Duties
- Supervises and delegates tasks to Prepared Foods Team Members
- works with Prepared Foods Trainer to train Team Members to build and sustain a high-performance team
- assists in training new Team Members using learning checklists and materials
- keeps display cases and shelves clean, well-stocked, and rotated
- opens and closes department according to procedures
- ensures all necessary breaks are given
- communicates team concerns to Team Leader and Associate Team Leader
- sets and achieves the highest standards of retail execution
- fosters a positive environment of teamwork, respect, and morale
- maintains awareness of customer needs and directs Team Members to satisfy and delight customers
- selects, trains, develops, mentors, motivates, and counsels Team Members
- provides timely and thorough performance evaluations
- consistently communicates and models Whole Foods Market vision and goals
