Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 18 months retail team member experience
- At least 6 months supervisory experience
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to stand or walk 6-8 hours per day
- Ability to perform manual tasks like bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching
- Ability to work in wet and dry conditions and variable temperatures
- Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to use knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other machinery
- Ability to use ladders
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 18 months retail team member experience
- At least 6 months supervisory experience
- Strong product knowledge
- Excellent interpersonal and motivational skills
- Capable of teaching and mentoring others
- Advanced knowledge of regulatory and safety policies
- Proficient mathematical skills for financial assessment
- Demonstrated decision-making and leadership ability
- Proficiency with email, Microsoft Office, and operations applications
Job Duties
- Develops and maintains creative store layout and product merchandising
- Works with Team Leader to achieve sales, purchasing, and labor targets
- Assists Team Leader in analysis of sales, reports and labor
- Demonstrates advanced product knowledge and maintains awareness of new products
- Maintains good vendor relationships and ensures proper paperwork for vendor processing
- Works with Team Leader to resolve team concerns or issues
- Functions as point person and departmental person in charge in absence of Team Leader
- Sets and achieves the highest standards of retail execution
- Fosters and encourages a positive environment of teamwork, mutual respect, and morale
- Communicates and models Whole Foods Market vision and goals
- Maintains awareness of customer needs and directs Team Members accordingly
- Selects, trains, develops, mentors, motivates, and counsels Team Members
- Provides timely and thoughtful performance evaluations
