Job Requirements
- Valid Washington State Food Workers Card
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- At least two years supervisory experience in a food service environment
- Knowledge of food safety and HACCP guidelines
- Proven ability to manage inventory and control loss
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to lead and train team members
- Experience in merchandising and product display
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Successful background and reference checks
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two years of supervisory experience managing five or more team members in a food service environment
- Proven history of developing personnel and team leadership
- Comprehensive product knowledge including ingredients, applications, pronunciations, and culinary skills
- Knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and Department of Health guidelines
- Proficiency in inventory management and understanding of gross profits and labor percentages
- Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills
- Creative merchandising and display skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work within deadlines
- Three years of kitchen or restaurant experience
- Four years of customer service experience
- Demonstrated success working in diverse team environments
- Strong time management and organizational skills
Job Duties
- Provide outstanding customer service and readily communicate product information to increase sales, meet revenue goals, and best serve guests
- Participate in determining order quantities and verifying cost of goods
- Assist the Prepared Foods Team Leader with determining product selections
- perform category management functions as assigned by the Prepared Foods Team Leader or as needed
- Assume primary responsibility for store-level vendor relations, including in-store daily operations and meetings
- Maintain product inventory at a level that promotes creative and effective sales merchandising and maximizes sales potential
- Assist the Team Leader with developing and maintaining product displays that create an exciting marketplace and impact customer buying trends
- Readily participate in product promotions and focuses
- Trains team members and provides clear expectations, performance feedback, coaching and counseling
- Maintain stocking standards that ensure high product quality, including rotation procedures
- Incorporate cleaning with culling, stocking, and rotation requirements
- Prevent internal and external loss and conduct physical inventories and practice inventory control
- Ensures all outdated products are pulled, recorded, and discarded from the Prepared Foods sales areas daily
- determines proper replacement product quantities and promptly restocks in compliance within established guidelines
