Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years old
  • high school diploma or high school equivalency preferred
  • able to lift and carry up to 70 pounds up to 20 times per shift
  • ability to stand 100 percent of shift
  • able to work in hot, damp environment
  • experience using kitchen machinery such as slicers
  • able to hold items weighing up to 5 pounds for extended periods
  • availability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to tolerate significant temperature changes
  • able to immerse hands frequently in water and cleaning solutions

Job Duties

  • Clean food preparation and production areas as required
  • wash and clean fruit and vegetables for peeling, dicing, shredding, or slicing using kitchen hand-utensils and electric equipment following safety procedures
  • measure and assemble ingredients and cooked items according to recipes and menu specifications
  • complete specific cleaning responsibilities and station maintenance including walk-in refrigeration, prep, and dry storage areas
  • ensure highest quality preparation and presentation of food items served on the Garden Bar
  • prepare food to avoid waste and spoilage, ensure high quality, and maintain food safety standards
  • stock and restock items on the Garden Bar ensuring a fully stocked presentation
  • clean and maintain carpeted and non-carpeted floors
  • maintain clean, stocked, and sanitary restrooms
  • clean, roll, and unroll kitchen mats
  • sweep trash around exterior of the restaurant and scrub walkways and back dock area
  • bag and haul dish room trash to dumpster at designated times
  • responsible for the setup, cleanliness, and organization of work area before, during, and after shifts
  • follow Heart of House Cleaning Program and AM Utility Programs
  • perform other responsibilities as assigned
