Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in food preparation or cooking preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to maintain a positive work environment
- Ability to remain in stationary position for extended periods occasionally in warm temperatures
- Willingness to be exposed to hot equipment and oil throughout the workday
- Physical ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and crawl
Job Qualifications
- State required certification preferred, not required
- Knowledge of BOH systems, ordering, and inventory
- Basic computer skills
- Strong organizational, motivational, and leadership skills
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail, speed, and accuracy
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
Job Duties
- Set up workstations with all necessary ingredients and equipment
- Prepare ingredients and equipment for meal preparation
- Cook food with various techniques (sauté, grill, bake, roast, fry, etc.)
- Clean and breakdown meal preparation areas, including cleaning all equipment, floors, and walls
- Proper storage and labeling of food products according to health department guidelines
- Ensure all meals meet presentation expectations
- Maintain a sanitized and orderly environment
- Check the quality of ingredients
- Monitor and rotate stock to ensure fresh ingredients at all times
- Participate in other projects and activities as assigned
- Assist with ordering and inventory
