Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of 1 year experience in a fast-paced kitchen preferred
  • ability to work flexible shifts including weekends holidays and evenings
  • strong communication skills
  • physical stamina to stand for 8 or more hours and lift 50 plus pounds
  • ability to follow safety and sanitation standards
  • teamwork and cooperation mindset

Job Duties

  • follow prep lists created by chefs
  • label and stock all cooking ingredients
  • complete all tasks in order on the prep list from the head chef or kitchen manager
  • washing chopping and sorting ingredients like fruits vegetables and meats
  • measuring quantities of seasonings and other cooking ingredients
  • adhere to nutrition and sanitary regulations and standards
  • keep track of ingredient inventory and collaborate to order resupply
  • learn about cooking methods and techniques
  • ensure proper storage and accessibility of food items
  • supervise food and cooling room temperatures
  • maintain a clean orderly and sanitized kitchen
  • assist chefs in preparing food and attend to culinary tasks
  • execute techniques under direction of sous chef and executive chef
  • prepare and cook food according to recipes quality and presentation standards
  • prepare ingredients by portioning chopping weighing measuring and mixing
  • operate kitchen equipment like ovens stoves grills microwaves fryers
  • ensure correctness of appliance and food temperatures
  • set up and break down workstation for shifts
  • wash and disinfect kitchen tables tools knives and equipment
  • follow company safety and security policies and procedures
  • ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
  • be responsible for care and maintenance of dish machine
  • keep clean supply of dishware glassware silverware and utensils
  • thrive in fast-paced environment while adhering to cleanliness and sanitation standards
  • other duties as assigned
