Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year experience in fast-paced kitchen preferred
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Physical ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds
  • Ability to stand and work on feet for 8+ hours
  • Willingness to learn and perform various kitchen tasks

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a fast-paced kitchen preferred
  • Passion for cooking and food quality
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation standards
  • Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment
  • Ability to follow recipes and prep instructions accurately
  • Physical stamina to stand for long hours and lift over 50 pounds
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends, holidays, and evenings

Job Duties

  • Follow prep lists created by chefs
  • Label and stock all cooking ingredients
  • Complete all tasks in order on the prep list from the Head Chef or kitchen managers
  • Wash, chop, and sort ingredients such as fruits, vegetables, and meats
  • Measure quantities of seasonings and cooking ingredients
  • Adhere to all relevant nutrition and sanitary regulations and standards
  • Keep track of ingredient inventory and collaborate with kitchen and management staff to order resupply
  • Learn about cooking methods and techniques
  • Ensure all food items are properly stored and accessible
  • Supervise food and cooling room temperatures
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and sanitized kitchen
  • Assist chefs in preparing food and attend to culinary tasks as they arise
  • Execute cooking techniques under direction of Sous Chef and Executive Chef
  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality, and presentation standards
  • Operate kitchen equipment including ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers
  • Set up and break down workstation for shifts
  • Wash and disinfect kitchen tools and equipment
  • Follow company safety and security policies and procedures
  • Responsible for maintenance and care of dish machines
  • Ensure clean supply of dishware, glassware, silverware, utensils, and cookware
  • Thrive in fast-paced environment while maintaining cleanliness and sanitation
  • Other duties as assigned
