Job Duties
- Follow prep lists created by chefs
- label and stock all cooking ingredients
- complete all tasks on the prep list from kitchen management
- wash, chop, and sort ingredients
- measure quantities of seasonings and other ingredients
- adhere to nutrition and sanitary regulations
- keep track of ingredient inventory and assist with resupply
- learn cooking methods and techniques
- ensure food is properly stored and accessible
- supervise food and cooling room temperatures
- maintain a clean and sanitized kitchen
- assist chefs with food preparation
- execute cooking techniques under direction
- prepare and cook food according to recipes and standards
- operate kitchen equipment
- ensure appliance and food temperature correctness
- set up and break down workstation
- wash and disinfect kitchen tools and equipment
- follow safety and security policies
- ensure quality expectations
- maintain dish machine and kitchen cleanliness
- manage supply of dishware and utensils
- thrive under fast-paced environment
- perform additional duties as assigned
