Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Previous experience in food preparation or kitchen attendant role preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical labor
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Attention to detail and cleanliness
  • Basic math skills for measuring and portioning

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a commercial kitchen or food preparation role preferred
  • Knowledge of proper food handling and safety procedures

  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks

Job Duties

  • Prepare assigned items according to the prep lists and par levels set by management
  • Properly measure and assemble ingredients required for preparing the standard recipes including cutting and/or portioning meat fish and poultry
  • Use scale to ensure proper portioning of food items
  • Control inventory for loss waste and spoilage
  • Clean organize and maintain walk-in refrigerator reach-in refrigerator cooler drawers prep and dry storage area
  • Maintain prep area in a clean sanitary and safe manner
  • Rotate product according to first in first out to maintain shelf-life standards
  • Date and label all food prepped and placed into walk-in cooler
  • Understand and comply with food safety and temperature standards
  • Maintain a friendly cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times while providing personalized service to restaurant and hotel guests
  • Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members
  • Provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department restaurant and hotel
  • Perform other duties as assigned requested or deemed necessary by management
