Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • proven experience as a prep cook or relevant role
  • ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
  • physical strength and stamina to spend long hours standing and performing repetitive motions
  • knowledge of sanitation principles and food safety
  • communication skills to effectively interact with guests, management, and team members
  • culinary certification and food safety certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Plan, prep, set up and provide quality service in all areas of cold food production including cold menu items, cold line specials, and displays of cheeses and fruits
  • maintain organization, cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment
  • be available to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts
  • create and design new and unique menu items
  • assist the Executive Chef in the establishment of department budgets and adherence to budget guidelines
  • ensure all food and beverage products are consistently prepared and served according to hotel standards
  • ensure all equipment is kept clean and in excellent working condition through personal inspection and preventative maintenance programs
  • comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations relating to health, safety, and labor requirements
