Job Requirements
- Two years of cooking experience preferred
- Knowledge of quantity food production and sanitation
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must understand sanitation directions
- Ability to read and understand cooking directions
- Must possess Food Handler's Card
- Must have kitchen knives and non-slip shoes
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Job Qualifications
- Two years of cooking experience preferred in from scratch environments or culinary education
- Knowledge of quantity food production, presentation, service, and sanitation
- Pass a Food Handler's Card certification
- Basic professional cooking and knife handling skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Strong communication skills for listening, speaking, reading, and writing
- Passion for food and cooking
- Self-motivated and well-organized
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Prepare daily entrees and food items according to established guidelines
- Utilize various kitchen equipment such as steamers, ovens, fryers, grills, and mixers
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, equipment, and workstations
- Comply with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Assist with stocking and organizing kitchen supplies
- Communicate effectively with staff, supervisors, and customers
- Perform additional tasks as requested by management
