Job Requirements
- Two years of previous experience in a high-end, high-volume restaurant
- experienced in making traditional sushi and sushi rolls with a strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine, sake, fish, seafood and cooking techniques
- ability to multi-task and work efficiently under pressure
- strong communication skills, both with guests and teammates
- a positive, upbeat attitude with a strong work ethic
- flexible availability to work days, nights, weekends
- a valid Food Handler Card
- ability to work standing for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and manage a physically demanding role
- must be 18 years or older
Job Qualifications

- strong knowledge of traditional sushi and Japanese cuisine
- skilled in sushi roll preparation
- familiarity with food service regulations and food handling
- ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure

- physically able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- minimum age of 18 years
Job Duties
- Prepare recipes according to guidelines and timelines
- cook and prepare a variety of food products including meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, sauces, stocks, breads
- prepare different kinds of sushi rolls including sauces and garnishes
- inspect quality of fruits, vegetables and fish
- follow proper plate presentation
- stock and maintain food products at line stations
- sterilize utensils, instruments and equipment
- handle, store and rotate products properly using FIFO
- perform station opening/closing and side work duties
- maintain a clean and sanitary workstation
- embody and deliver exceptional service and hospitality
