Job Requirements
- 2 years of previous experience in a high-end, high-volume restaurant
- experience in traditional sushi making and Japanese cuisine knowledge
- ability to multi-task and work efficiently under pressure
- strong communication skills
- positive and upbeat attitude
- flexible availability
- valid Food Handler Card
- ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- minimum age of 18
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a high-end, high-volume restaurant
- experience in making traditional sushi and sushi rolls
- strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine, sake, fish and seafood
- strong communication skills

Job Duties
- Prepare recipes according to guidelines and timelines
- cook and prepare various food products including meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, sauces, stocks, breads
- prepare different kinds of sushi rolls
- prepare sauces and select fresh ingredients
- store food and manage food stock
- create menu items and design sushi plates
- fulfill orders within quality standards
- ensure familiarity with food service regulations and proper food handling
- inspect quality of fruits, vegetables and fish
- follow proper plate presentation and prepare garnishes
- stock and maintain sufficient food product levels
- sterilize utensils, instruments and equipment before use
- handle, store and rotate products properly using FIFO
- perform station opening, closing and side work duties
- maintain clean and sanitary workstations
- monitor food production for safety and sanitation compliance
- deliver exceptional service and hospitality
