  • Basic knife skills
  • valid Food Handler Card

  • ability to lift bend and kneel
  • ability to stand and walk swiftly for long periods while carrying large service trays
  • ability to work in smoky noisy hot cold or humid environments
  • ability to lift 25 pounds without assistance and 50 pounds with assistance

Job Duties

  • Completing all tasks in order on the prep list from the Kitchen Manager
  • labeling and stocking all ingredients on easily accessible shelves
  • washing chopping and sorting ingredients
  • measuring quantities of seasonings and other cooking ingredients
  • parboiling food reducing sauces and starting first steps in various dishes
  • cleaning dishes washing cooking utensils and cookware
  • taking out trash and sanitizing the kitchen
  • adhering to nutrition and sanitary regulations and standards
  • keeping track of ingredient inventory and collaborating with kitchen and management staff for supply orders
