Job Requirements
- Able to obtain and present a Washington State Food Worker Card
- previous experience in food preparation or food service preferred
- knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling
- basic math and counting skills
- ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds occasionally
- good interpersonal and communication skills
- willingness to comply with food safety and sanitation procedures
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in food prep or food service-related work preferred
- knowledge of various food prep methods, proper knife handling, and food safety regulations such as proper food handling, temperature control, sanitation, and storage preferred
- must be able to obtain and present Washington State Food Worker Card
- demonstrates basic math and counting skills
- demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs
Job Duties
- Prepares a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
- sets up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
- prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items
- safely utilizes a variety of utensils including knives
- arranges, garnishes, and portions food according to established guidelines
- maintains accurate rotation of food to assure top quality and freshness
- properly stores and manages leftover foods correctly including covering, labeling, dating, and storing according to Aramark standards and food safety policies
- maintains clean and orderly refrigerators and work areas
- maintains a safe and sanitary work environment that conforms to all food safety standards and regulations
- maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, and co-workers
- adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
- ensures security of company assets
- performs other duties and tasks as assigned by manager
