Job Requirements

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds
  • work involves exposure to hot equipment, cleaning chemicals, and various food allergens
  • schedule may include weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous experience in a kitchen or food service setting strongly preferred
  • knowledge of basic food preparation and kitchen safety procedures
  • ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
  • strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • must be dependable, punctual, and professional in demeanor
  • ServSafe certification is a plus

Job Duties

  • Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, slicing, and measuring food items according to recipes and menu requirements
  • assist cooks and chefs in preparing and plating meals for residents
  • maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen, prep areas, and equipment
  • properly label and store food items to ensure freshness and prevent cross-contamination
  • follow all food safety regulations and company policies
  • help with receiving and storing deliveries and rotating stock
  • work collaboratively with the dietary team to ensure efficient kitchen operations
  • perform other kitchen-related duties as assigned by the Chef or Food Service Manager
