Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous prep cooking experience preferred
- Ability to work PM shifts and varying hours
- Ability to meet food safety and sanitation standards
- Capability to stand for extended periods and perform physical kitchen tasks
- Must be able to lift and carry food items as needed
- Must follow all health and safety guidelines
Job Qualifications
- Previous knife skills and prep cooking experience preferred
- Ability to follow established recipes and production standards
- Knowledge of food safety regulations including HACCP
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Basic math skills for measuring and portioning
- Customer service-oriented mindset
Job Duties
- Obtain daily production schedule and preparation requirements from the Chef
- Prepare items on production sheets following established quantities and recipes
- Complete and follow daily production worksheets and waste log sheets
- Taste completed meals to ensure quality
- Operate and clean equipment per department procedures after each use
- Store, label and date all food items according to policy
- Follow HACCP guidelines
- Complete all required documentation, reports, logs as required
- Comply with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures
- Take orders from customer and prepare items requiring short preparation time
- Serve customers in an efficient and friendly manner
- Complete orders from steam tables and grill and serve customers at multiple stations
- Use approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control
- Resolve customer concerns
- Perform other duties as assigned
