Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous prep cooking experience preferred
  • Ability to work PM shifts and varying hours
  • Ability to meet food safety and sanitation standards
  • Capability to stand for extended periods and perform physical kitchen tasks
  • Must be able to lift and carry food items as needed
  • Must follow all health and safety guidelines

Job Qualifications

  • Previous knife skills and prep cooking experience preferred
  • Ability to follow established recipes and production standards
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations including HACCP
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • Basic math skills for measuring and portioning
  • Customer service-oriented mindset

Job Duties

  • Obtain daily production schedule and preparation requirements from the Chef
  • Prepare items on production sheets following established quantities and recipes
  • Complete and follow daily production worksheets and waste log sheets
  • Taste completed meals to ensure quality
  • Operate and clean equipment per department procedures after each use
  • Store, label and date all food items according to policy
  • Follow HACCP guidelines
  • Complete all required documentation, reports, logs as required
  • Comply with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures
  • Take orders from customer and prepare items requiring short preparation time
  • Serve customers in an efficient and friendly manner
  • Complete orders from steam tables and grill and serve customers at multiple stations
  • Use approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control
  • Resolve customer concerns
  • Perform other duties as assigned
