Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • must be 18 or over
  • training or experience in food preparation or as a Prep Cook in a fast-paced kitchen
  • possess or be willing to obtain a valid food handling certificate within 60 days
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • ability to lift, push, pull or carry at least 50lbs
  • ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays
  • excellent interpersonal skills
  • maintain personal hygiene and company appearance standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

  • training in food preparation or experience in a fast-paced kitchen as a Prep Cook preferred
  • valid food handling certificate or willingness to obtain within 60 days

Job Duties

  • Meet company standard for guest service and uniform standards
  • maintain personal appearance and hygiene according to company policy
  • ensure a clean, safe, and pleasant kitchen environment
  • perform opening and closing side work
  • maintain a positive attitude in high stress situations
  • provide high quality, fresh food products timely
  • operate kitchen utensils and equipment safely and efficiently
  • prepare hot and cold foods following company recipes and portioning requirements
  • follow sanitation, health, and safety guidelines
  • observe and test foods for proper cooking
  • portion, arrange, and garnish food plates for guests
  • cut and slice meat, wash, peel, and cut fruits and vegetables
  • mix ingredients for various salads
  • report safety hazards to management
  • perform other duties as assigned
  • demonstrate excellent attendance
