Job Requirements

  • Ability to take direction and work in a team environment

  • Basic English language and professional communication skills
  • Able to independently lift to 15lbs for an extended period
  • Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs throughout the shift
  • Must be able to walk or stand for 8 to 10 hours per day
  • Hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to reach, bend, twist, stoop
  • Capability to push, pull, and lift overhead
  • Must be able to climb stairs in multi-level restaurants

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in food preparation or kitchen environment is desirable but not mandatory
  • Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation regulations
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team setting
  • Basic English language proficiency for communication
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to quality
  • Physical ability to perform the duties including lifting and prolonged standing

Job Duties

  • Prepare ingredients for cooking and service according to recipes and standards
  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of food preparation areas
  • Follow food safety and handling procedures meticulously
  • Assist in maintaining stock levels and inventory of kitchen supplies
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and quality meal production
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Uphold quality and presentation standards for all prepared dishes
