The position requires previous prep cooking experience of 2 to 3 years, with a valid Food Handler's card preferred, ensuring that candidates are familiar with food safety procedures and sanitation regulations.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 to 3 years of previous prep cooking experience
- valid Food Handler's card preferred
- ability to work early morning shifts
- ability to comply with federal, state and local health regulations
- physical ability to perform cooking and kitchen tasks
- reliable attendance
- excellent interpersonal skills
- willingness to follow company policies and procedures
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Obtain daily production schedule and preparation requirements from the Chef
- prepare items on production sheets following established quantities and recipes
- complete and follow daily production worksheets and waste log sheets
- taste completed meals to ensure quality
- operate and clean equipment per department procedures after each use
- store, label and date all food items according to policy
- follow HACCP guidelines
- complete all required documentation, reports, logs as required
- comply with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures
- take orders from customers and prepare items requiring short preparation time
- serve customers in an efficient and friendly manner
- complete orders from steam tables and grill and serve customers at multiple stations
- use approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control
- resolve customer concerns
- perform other duties as assigned
