Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in a high-volume cooking environment
  • Ability to work early morning shifts and rotating weekends
  • Ability to follow recipes and portion control standards precisely
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to comply with health and safety regulations
  • Ability to work as part of a team

Job Qualifications

  • Prior high-volume cooking experience
  • Ability to prepare food according to recipes and production standards
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including early mornings and rotating weekends
  • Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely
  • Customer service skills

Job Duties

  • Obtain daily production schedule and preparation requirements from the chef
  • Prepare items on production sheets following established quantities and recipes
  • Complete and follow daily production worksheets and waste log sheets
  • Taste completed meals to ensure quality
  • Operate and clean equipment per department procedures after each use
  • Store, label and date all food items according to policy
  • Follow HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety
  • Complete all required documentation, reports, logs as required
  • Comply with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures
  • Take orders from customers and prepare items requiring short preparation time
  • Serve customers in an efficient and friendly manner
  • Complete orders from steam tables and grill and serve customers at multiple stations
  • Use approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control
  • Resolve customer concerns
  • Perform other duties as assigned
