Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous prep cook experience required
- Ability to work full-time including Sundays through Saturdays from 12 pm to 8:30 pm
- Ability to comply with health and safety regulations
- Ability to lift and carry moderate weights
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Available to work in Berrien Springs, MI
- Legal authorization to work in the US
Job Qualifications
- Previous prep cook experience
- Ability to follow recipes and production instructions accurately
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to operate and clean kitchen equipment
- Basic math skills for measuring and portioning
Job Duties
- Obtain daily production schedule and preparation requirements from the Chef
- Prepare items on production sheets following established quantities and recipes
- Complete and follow daily production worksheets and waste log sheets, taste completed meals to ensure quality
- Operate and clean equipment per department procedures after each use
- Store, label and date all food items according to policy, follow HACCP guidelines
- Complete all required documentation, reports, logs as required
- Comply with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures
- Take orders from customers and prepare items requiring short preparation time
- Serve customers in an efficient and friendly manner
- Complete orders from steam tables and grill and serve customers at multiple stations
- Use approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control
- Resolve customer concerns
- Perform other duties as assigned
