Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience as a prep cook or line cook
  • knowledge of sanitation practices and food safety
  • ability to use kitchen equipment safely
  • physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
  • availability for the scheduled full-time shifts
  • legal authorization to work in the United States

Job Duties

  • obtain daily production schedule and preparation requirements from the chef
  • prepare items on production sheets following established quantities and recipes
  • complete and follow daily production worksheets and waste log sheets
  • taste completed meals to ensure quality
  • operate and clean equipment per department procedures after each use
  • store, label and date all food items according to policy
  • follow HACCP guidelines
  • complete all required documentation, reports, logs as required
  • comply with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures
  • take orders from customers and prepare items requiring short preparation time
  • serve customers in an efficient and friendly manner
  • complete orders from steam tables and grill and serve customers at multiple stations
  • use approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control
  • resolve customer concerns
  • perform other duties as assigned
