Job Requirements
- Ability to push, pull, lift or carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to bend, twist, stoop, and reach frequently during shift
- Capacity to stand or walk for 8 hours on hard surfaces
- Ability to tolerate hot and cold temperatures
- Ability to perform routine and repetitive tasks safely
- Willingness and physical capability to operate ware-washing and kitchen equipment safely
- Eligible for employment at facility without relocation assistance
- Available to work first shift Monday through Friday
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 12 months professional experience in foodservice or hospitality preferred
- Enrollment in or graduation from culinary, hospitality, or related field of study is advantageous
- Basic understanding of cooking techniques and kitchen terminology
- Strong time management and organizational abilities
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Basic math skills and comprehension of measurements and currency
- Food handlers certification preferred but not required
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook food according to daily prep lists, recipes, and menu directions
- Assess food quality by washing, cutting, and seasoning ingredients
- Use various cooking methods including roasting, frying, steaming, sautéing, and braising
- Receive and rotate food supplies to maintain inventory freshness
- Operate food action stations and provide friendly cafe guest interaction
- Assist occasionally with dishwashing and catering assignments
- Collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure smooth operations and high standards
