Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous kitchen or food prep experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to follow food safety guidelines
  • Ability to use kitchen equipment safely
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Job Qualifications

  • Previous kitchen or food prep experience preferred but not required
  • Basic knife skills and willingness to learn culinary techniques
  • Understanding of food safety practices or ability to obtain certification
  • Ability to follow recipes and written prep lists

Job Duties

  • Wash, chop, slice, portion, and prepare ingredients according to recipes and prep lists
  • Label, date, rotate, and store food following food safety standards
  • Assist cooks with station setup and breakdown
  • Prepare sauces, stocks, dressings, and batch recipes as directed
  • Maintain cleanliness of prep areas, coolers, and storage spaces
  • Follow sanitation and health department guidelines
  • Assist with receiving deliveries and verifying product quality
