Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum one year of food preparation experience
  • Food handlers certification or ability to obtain upon hire
  • Ability to work varied schedules including nights, weekends, holidays, and special events
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to follow safety and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to follow recipes, production sheets, and prep schedules
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively
  • Good judgment and reliability
  • Effective communication skills in English
  • Ability to adapt to changing volume and production needs
  • Maintain a positive, professional, and productive demeanor
  • Knowledge of procedures, inventory, and equipment
  • Ability to perform effectively under high-stress conditions

Job Duties

  • Promote and support a culture of excellence by modeling STRC values, delivering exceptional guest service, and upholding professionalism and ethics
  • Provide exceptional guest service throughout all interactions
  • Prepare grab-and-go sandwiches, wraps, and breakfast items in batches
  • Bake cookies, pastries, and other cafe bakery items
  • Prepare fruit cups, yogurt parfaits, and cold snack items
  • Portion, label, date, and store all prepared items properly
  • Follow standardized recipes and production guidelines
  • Maintain consistent quality, presentation, and portion control
  • Receive and properly store food and supply deliveries
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department standards
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary prep workspace at all times
  • Adhere to department policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Provide friendly internal guest service to all team members
  • Proactively identify operational issues, recommend solutions, and follow up appropriately
  • Demonstrate dependability and reliability by maintaining regular, punctual attendance and consistently fulfilling assigned shifts and responsibilities
  • Create, maintain, and facilitate a positive and safe work environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned
