Job Requirements

  • ability to maintain patient and tactful composure when dealing with residents, family members, team members and guests
  • must be able to pass a drug and background test

Job Qualifications

  • a high school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of 1 year experience as a prep cook
  • strong culinary skills including knife proficiency
  • ability to read, write, and speak English
  • commitment to Touchmark values of excellence, teamwork, hospitality, integrity, and compassion
  • genuine interest in caring for elderly residents
  • strong communication and teamwork skills
  • willingness to learn and improve skills

Job Duties

  • operate all necessary equipment to perform essential functions of the position
  • ensure prep cook duties are performed in accordance with the established Touchmark Gold Standards
  • read and interpret recipes, manage high volume prep lists, have safe and clean kitchen practices, good knife skills and a desire to hustle and produce quality food
  • work within a team environment to achieve daily goals
  • maintain a clean environment and a healthy atmosphere for residents, guests, and team members
  • perform dishwasher duties as necessary during shifts
  • adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations
